STREET UPGRADING River Valley Drive (Route 177) Grand Bay-Westfield, NB Project No: 09-2712 D Sealed Tenders properly marked as to contents and bearing the title of the Work addressed to the undersigned will be received until 11:00 AM, local time, July 6, 2011. The Work consists generally of the following to upgrade a 120 metre long section of River Valley Drive: approximately 800 cubic metres of common and solid rock roadway excavation; supply and placement of approximately 700 tonnes of pit run gravel and 400 tonnes of crushed gravel for roadway base material; replacement at a lower depth approximately 70 lineal metres of 300 mm diameter reinforced concrete storm sewer complete with structures; construction of approximately 230 lineal metres of concrete curb and gutter and 170 square metres of 1500 mm wide reinforced concrete sidewalk; supply and placement of approximately 400 tonnes of asphalt concrete; and site restoration. Particular Specifications may be obtained from the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield, P.O. A Bid Bond or Certified Cheque, payable to the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield, in the fixed amount of TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($ 20,000.00) must accompany each Tender. Tender Documents will be on display at the Construction Association Offices in Saint John, Moncton and Fredericton. Tenders will be opened publicly at the Town Office as soon after the Tender Closing as possible. The Town of Grand Bay-Westfield reserves the right to reject any and all tenders and also reserves the right to not necessarily accept the lowest Tender.
