The Grand Bay-Westfield Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank the Administrator and Members of the Westfield Ambulance Service for their donation of $250.00 towards our Images of Life Campaign.

The Westfield Volunteer Ambulance Service recently donated $250.00 to the Grand Bay-Westfield Volunteer Fire/Rescue Department to assist with the purchase of a Thermal Imaging Camera. In her remarks, Westfield Ambulance Administrator Diane McGowan indicated that the camera will provide greater safety for the firefighters, will allow them to see through smoke, find the fires and help to quickly locate victims who may be trapped in a burning building. The quicker we can find these people and get them out, the quicker the paramedics can do what they need to do. I encourage other emergency services in our rural areas to support the fund raising campaign.  When we have mutual aid fire calls, this piece of technology will benefit everyone.
