APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE RE: KEVIN & LORI CHAPMAN – 11 JUNE AVENUE
(A) DEVELOPMENT OFFICER’S REPORT DATED MARCH 31, 2010
Applicant, Kevin Chapman was present regarding his Application for Variance to reduce the required front yard set back for the construction of a new dwelling.
Mr. Chapman addressed the Committee as follows:
He is requesting an additional 12 feet, as the pad is not deep enough to accommodate the house he wishes to build; this would place the garage closer to the road, approximately 26½ feet from the edge of the curb to the garage doors.          The Committee then informed Mr. Chapman that a 15 foot or 5 metre set back is an allowable limit in this case, in an attempt to maintain uniformity on the street.                 There was no one present speaking in favor of or against this Application.
“…moved by Chyann Kirby that the Planning Advisory Committee approve the following Variance Request to the Town’s Zoning By-law, Town of Grand Bay-Westfield By-law No. 112 in the amount of 2.5 m, to reduce the front yard set back from 7.5 m to 5.00 m for the proposed dwelling, as shown on the submitted Site Plan at 11 June Avenue, PID No. 30262729….”
Seconded Cllr. Bev Day.  Carried.
