PAC Minutes – March 4, 2002

The regular meeting of the Grand Bay-Westfield Planning Advisory Committee was held Monday, March 4, 2002 in Room “A”, 609 River Valley Drive.   Chairman, Larry Chapman conducted the meeting and called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m.

2. PLANNING ADVISORY COMMITTEE MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 18, 2002
“…moved by Ralph Stevens to accept as presented the February 18, 2002 Planning Advisory Committee Minutes….”
Motion seconded by Michael Hare.  Carried.
3. REGULAR COUNCIL MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 11, 2002
“…moved by Ralph Stevens to receive and file the Regular Council Minutes of February 11, 2002….”
Motion seconded by Michael Hare.  Carried.

5. DECLARATION OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST
No conflicts declared.
6. DEVELOPMENT OFFICER’S MEMO OF FEBRUARY 27, 2002 RE: DRAFT ZONING BY-LAW NO. 215 REVIEW
The Committee reviewed a list of concerns compiled by the Development Officer to be taken into consideration with regard to the Municipal Plan and Zoning By-law review, with particular attention paid to the following:
Section 10.2.1- Light Industrial Zones Permitted Uses
Section 8.2.5 – One Family Recreational Residential
8.2.5.1 –  Permitted Uses
Definition of a “One Family dwelling”
Section 5.1 – Accessory Structures        Garage Sizes
Addition – Exterior Wood Burning Furnaces
Following the review, the following motion was made:
“…moved by Mel Steffens to receive and file the Municipal Plan and Zoning By-law Check List….”
Motion seconded by Ralph Stevens.  Carried.
7. DEVELOPMENT OFFICER’S MEMO  OF FEBRUARY 27, 2002, RE: MUNICIPAL PLAN BY-LAW & ZONING BY-LAW SCHEDULE REVISION FOR COMPLETION OF PROJECT IN 2002
The Development Officer reviewed with the Committee the process involved in implementing the new Municipal Plan By-law and Zoning By-law, advising that April 25, 2002 is the date set for the SGE presentation to Council along with the Public Information Session.
Following motion was then made:
“…moved  by Ralph Stevens  to  receive and  file the  Municipal Plan By-law and Zoning By-law Schedule Revision for Completion of Project in 2002….”
Motion seconded by Michael Hare.  Carried.
8. ADJOURNMENT
Ralph Stevens moved to adjourn at 8:26 p.m.
