The Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Planning Advisory Committee met for a regular meeting on Monday, November 6, 2006 at 8:02 p.m. with Chairman, Ralph Stevens presiding.

(A) DEVELOPMENT OFFICER’S REPORT DATED OCTOBER 13/06
There was no one present speaking in favor of or against this Application.
“…moved by Ron Daigle that the Planning Advisory Committee approve the following Variance to the Town’s Zoning By-law, Town of Grand Bay-Westfield By-law No. 101, for the location and placement of an accessory structure, to be located at 5 Young St., PID No. 30224125: a) under Section 5.1.5, grant a variance of 3.75 m to increase the maximum height of an accessory building from 6.0 m to 9.75 m; however, deny the request for variance to increase the maximum size of an accessory building from 75 m² to 78 m²….”

8. APPLICATION FOR DISCRETIONARY USE RE:  DR. JAMES & SUSAN WEST – 143 NEREPIS ROAD
(A) DEVELOPMENT OFFICER’S REPORT DATED OCTOBER 30/06
(B) LETTER DATED NOVEMBER 1/06 FROM HELEN & EUAN STRACHAN
(C) LETTER DATED NOVEMBER 1/06 FROM MR. & MRS. JOHN LINGLEY
Applicant’s Dr. and Mrs. West were present and had nothing further to add to their Application.
There was no one else present speaking in favor of or against this Application.
Letters received from Helen & Euan Strachan and Mr. & Mrs. John Lingley dated November 1, 2006 stated no objection to this Application.

Little that the Planning Advisory Committee grant approval of a Discretionary Use as a permitted Home Occupation under Section 8.2.2.2(c) of the Town’s Zoning By-law, By-law No. 101, for the operation of a Professional Office for a medical practice, limited to an area of 35.5 m² (382 sf) to be operated as a Home Occupation under conditions imposed by Section 5.4 of the Zoning By-law, located at 143 Nerepis Road, PID No. 00228924….”
