PAC Minutes – October 17, 2005

1. CALL TO ORDER
The Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Planning Advisory Committee met for a regular meeting on Monday, October 17, 2005 at 8:04 p.m. with Chairman, Larry Chapman presiding.
2. RECORD OF ATTENDANCE
All Members were present with the exception of Jim Burke.

7. DEVELOPMENT OFFICER’S MEMO DATED OCTOBER 13, 2005  RE: TERM EXPIRATIONS
“…moved by Ralph Stevens that the Planning Advisory Committee advise Council that the following two Planning Advisory Committee Members have terms due to expire on January 1, 2006:
Larry Chapman
James Burke
with a request for letters from the outgoing members indicating their willingness to re-offer for a new term to be submitted to the Town …
Seconded by Ron Daigle.  Carried.
8. DEVELOPMENT OFFICER’S MEMO DATED OCTOBER 12, 2005  RE:  REVIEW OF BY-LAW PROVISIONS
“…moved by Ralph Stevens that the Planning Advisory Committee advise Council that they have reviewed the Town’s Zoning By-law No. 101 provisions respecting swimming pools, in consideration of by-law provisions of surrounding  municipalities and make no recommendation for changes to the by-law citing the existing provisions provide “reasonable precaution” in protecting the use of swimming pools within our community….”
Seconded by Mel Steffens.  Carried.
