APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE RE: RENE´ MARTIN – 5 MAPLECREST DRIVE
(A) DEVELOPMENT OFFICER’S REPORT DATED SEPTEMBER 29, 2011
Applicant, Rene΄ Martin was present and addressed the Committee as follows:
His Application is to build a new home on Maplecrest Drive; The height of the building is above the limit allowed in the By-law; therefore he is requesting a Variance for approval.
There was no one else present speaking in favor of or against this Application.
“…moved by Linda Estabrooks that the Planning Advisory Committee approve the following Variance to the Town’s Zoning By-law, Town of Grand Bay-Westfield By-law No. 112, for the construction of a single family dwelling, to be located at 5 Maplecrest Drive, PID No. 30264584:
a) under Section 8.2.2.3(h), grant a Variance of 1.2 m to increase the maximum height of a main building from 9.0 m to 10.2 m….”

APPLICATION FOR TENTATIVE & FINAL SUBDIVISION APPROVAL RE: VAUGHAN & ANNA MORRIS  SUBDIVISION, INGLEWOOD DRIVE
(A) DEVELOPMENT OFFICER’S REPORT DATED SEPTEMBER 29, 2011
Applicants, Pat and Susan Morris were present.  Mr. Morris addressed the Committee as follows:
His parents are the owners of the property; this Application is for approval to subdivide the lot for the construction of a new dwelling; once approval is granted, he will acquire a Building Permit.
There was no one else present speaking in favor or against this Application.
“…moved by Jim Burke that the Planning Advisory Committee recommend to Council the acceptance of $502.65 money in lieu of Land for Public Purposes (cash, money order, certified cheque or debit) for the purposes of creating one new building lot out of PID No. 00460188 to be located on Inglewood Drive as shown on the Subdivision Plan, Vaughan& Anna Morris Subdivision, Lots 11-01 & 11-02 as prepared by DeSaulniers Surveys Inc. dated September 23, 2011; with approval of final Subdivision Plan to be subject to payment of $502.65 (cash, money order, certified cheque or debit)…..”

“…moved by Jim Burke that the Planning Advisory Committee submit the following budget figure of $9,000.00 for expenses of the Committee for the year 2012:
Maximum Honorarium for P.A.C. Members     $3,600.00
Maximum Honorarium for P.A.C. Secretary     $3,360.00
Consultants, Legal Advice, contingency          $1,500.00
Supplies and Expenses                                      $   540.00
TOTAL                                                                      $9,000.00….”

PLANNING ADVISORY COMMITTEE TERM EXPIRATIONS
(A) DEVELOPMENT OFFICER’S REPORT DATED SEPTEMBER 29, 2011
“…moved by Cllr. Bev Day that the Planning Advisory Committee advise Council that under provisions of the Community Planning Act, two of the Committee Member’s terms are due to expire on January 1, 2012, and that both Members, James Burke and Linda Estabrooks, have offered to stand for re-appointment to the Committee (with new 3-year terms from January 3, 2012 to January 1, 2015)….”
