(A) DEVELOPMENT OFFICER’S REPORT DATED AUGUST 22/08
(B) LETTER FROM CLAYTON & VERA SMITH DATED AUG. 20/08
(C) LETTER FROM JOHN & LORETTA HILL DATED AUG. 25/08
Applicant, Achsah McEachern was present and advised the Committee of the following:
* She has been operating her business on the east side of the City and now wishes to move it into her home due to her small children;
* her Message Therapy business will be conducted in the basement level of her home, which has a separate entrance;
* this will be a full-time business with at least two clients per day;
* her driveway has a turn around area and has adequate parking for two clients;
* due to the fact that her house is not fully visible from the road, she is requesting permission for the placement of a sign, similar to a Real Estate Sign, to be placed on her lawn near the foot of her driveway;
The Committee advised Ms. McEachern that the By-law states that a fence must be 35 ft. from the centre line of the road and 1 metre from the property line.
There was no one present speaking in favor of or against this Application.
Letters received from Clayton & Vera Smith and John & Loretta Hill stated no objection to this Application.
“….moved by Ron Daigle that the Planning Advisory Committee approve the request for a Home Occupation to operate a Message Therapy business, where it is shown to conform to Section 5.4 of the Town’s Zoning By-law, Town of Grand Bay-Westfield By-law No. 101, to be located at 973 River Valley Drive, PID No. 30067276, and to ensure that the placement of a sign be a minimum of 1 metre back from the property line….”
