RE: CHANGE OF VENUE FOR DECEMBER 6, 2004 MEETING
“…moved by Jim Burke that the Planning Advisory Committee change the location for its regularly scheduled meeting of December 6, 2004 from the Grand Bay Room to Room “A”, upstairs in the Centrum Building, 609 River Valley Drive….”

8. REQUEST FOR VARIANCE RE: DOUG & HEATHER FINKLE – 9  RIVER STREET
(A) DEVELOPMENT OFFICER’S REPORT DATED SEPTEMBER 15, 2004
Applicants, Doug and Heather Finkle were present.
There was no one present speaking in favor of or against this Application.
“…moved by James Evans that the Planning Advisory Committee approve the following variances to the Town’s Zoning By-law, Town of Grand Bay-Westfield By-law No. 101, for the construction of an addition to a single family home, to be located at 9 River Street, PID No. 00227231: a) under section 8.2.2.3(e), grant a variance of 2.52 m to reduce the required Rear Yard Setback from 7.5 m to 4.98 m b) under section 8.2.2.3(f), grant a variance of  0.31 m to reduce the required Side Yard Setback from 3.5 m to 3.19 m….”
Seconded by Jim Burke.  Carried.
9. REQUEST FOR VARIANCE RE: DAVID & KAREN FOX – 409 RIVER VALLEY DRIVE
 (A) DEVELOPMENT OFFICER’S REPORT DATED SEPTEMBER 8, 2004
Applicant, David Fox and daughter were present.
Mr. Fox advised the Committee that the reason for this Variance is that due to a change in the design, he now wishes to have garden doors face east rather than north, as originally planned.
There was no one present speaking in favor of or against this Application.
“…moved by Ralph Stevens that the Planning Advisory Committee approve the following variance to the Town’s Zoning By-law, Town of Grand Bay-Westfield By-law No. 101, for the construction of an addition to a single family home, to be located at 409 River Valley Drive, PID No. 00217083: a) under Section 8.2.2.3(d), grant a variance of 1.92 m to reduce the required Front Yard Setback from 7.08 m to 5.16 m….”
Seconded by Cllr. Little.  Carried.
