The regular meeting of the Grand Bay-Westfield Planning Advisory
Committee was held Monday, March 3, 2003 in Room “A”, 609 River Valley
Drive. Chairman, Larry Chapman conducted the meeting and called
the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m.

RE: DEVELOPMENT OFFICER’S MEMO DATED FEBRUARY 12, 2003
RE: DRAFT SUBDIVISON BY-LAW NO. 102
The Committee reviewed Draft Subdivision By-law No. 102 with the
recommendation that amendments and/or clarification be made to the following
sections:
-
Page 2 of 8 – Lots, Blocks & Other Parcels - Section 5. (1) b) –
delete;
-
Page 3 of 8 – Land for Public Purposes - Section 6.(2)b)(ii) – wording
to be changed;
-
Page 4 of 6 – Procedures Respecting Approval of Subdivision Plans –
Section 5 (v) & (vi) – wording needs clarification.
The Development Officer advised that Godfrey Associates Ltd. have been
engaged to complete Schedule “A”, Subdivision Developers Standards.
The following motion was then made:
“….moved by Mel Steffens that the Planning Advisory Committee
receive and file Draft Subdivision By-law No. 102 as is, with amendments
to be reviewed when work is completed by Godfrey Associates Ltd….”
Motion seconded by Ralph Stevens. Carried.

REVIEW OF BY-LAW BINDERS |

The Development Officer assisted the Members with up-dates to their
By-law Binders.
The following motion was then made:
“…moved by Mel Steffens that the individual members continue
with up-dating their By-law Binders and subsequently inform the secretary
of any sections they are missing….”
Motion seconded by Cllr. Little. Carried.
