EMERGENCY
MEASURES ORGANIZATION Recent weather events have caused unprecedented destruction in various areas of our province. Now, more than ever, communities must have emergency plans in place to protect residents, property and municipal infrastructure. Your
Emergency Measures Organization meets on a regular basis to reassess
existing plans, to develop new plans based on identified hazards
analysis and to test the plans. Being
PREPARED is a # 1 priority.
At this time we want to increase our number of volunteers and are looking for residents who are 18 years of age and over; who are available for regular monthly meetings on the 3rd Tuesday evening of each month from7pm-8:30pm and who can be available to work in the Emergency Measures Operation Centre when required. Interested residents will have a strong desire to work behind the scenes to provide support to front line responding agencies. Training will be provided. To indicate your interest or to receive further information, please contact Diane McGowan, EMO Director at 757-8868 or by email at mcgowan123@rogers.com
