CFB GAGETOWN TO CONDUCT SPRING BURNING

CFB GAGETOWN – CFB Gagetown’s annual Spring Grass Burning Program is scheduled to occur from 01 April to 15 May.

The program is necessary to reduce the accumulation of dead grass on various ranges and impact areas in the training area. Early spring burning will also diminish the likelihood of fires occurring later in the season when the fire hazard is much higher.

This year, locations to be burned are in the north central, southeast and western portions of the training area. Burning will be carried out during normal working hours on days when weather conditions are suitable. Some weekend burning may occur.

Every precaution will be taken to ensure the safety of residents and protection of the environment.
