PEDESTRIAN CROSSWALK SIGNAL INTERSECTION OF COL. NASE BLVD. & RIVER VALLEY DRIVE The Col. Nase Boulevard/River Valley Drive intersection has been designed and constructed for signalized traffic lights to regulate traffic movements at the intersection. Four main support posts for these overhead light signals have been installed however the Department of Transportation has not yet approved the activation of a fully signalized intersection on River Valley Drive, which is a Designated Highway (Route 177). Until such time as approval for traffic signals is received, the Province has granted approval for a Pedestrian Cross Walk Signal. When activated by a push button, the Pedestrian Cross Walk Signal light will FLASH YELLOW to alert motorists that pedestrians are crossing. PEDESTRIANS - it is very important that you activate the signal light with the push button and wait for cars to stop before using the crosswalk. MOTORISTS
- pedestrians have the right of way in the crosswalk. ![]() |
