Facility Supervisor

The Brundage Point River Centre is part of the Lower River Passage Project, which is a tourism initiative involving five rural communities along the St. John River. The River Centre offers walking trails, washrooms, a boat launch, floating docks, picnic tables, and meeting space.  The River Centre may also be rented for workshops, wedding receptions, family gatherings, and other activities.

The Town of Grand Bay-Westfield is seeking an outgoing person to fill the role of Facility Supervisor during events for the Brundage Point River Centre. Reporting to the River Centre Manager, the Facility Supervisor is responsible for opening the facility, ensuring rental policies are followed, and closing the facility at the end of the event. The majority of the shifts would be evenings and weekends. Other duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Opening and closing the River Centre as key and alarm code holder
  • Supervising rental events and ensuring facilities are operational
  • Greeting and assisting event organizers
  • Assist in coordinating setup and cleanup for Town events

  • Ensuring facilities are operational during events

  • Filling out floor logs and washroom check sheets

  • Setting up/tear down some tables and chairs (involves some light lifting).

  • Some light sweeping, mopping, dusting and cleaning of River Centre facilities

  • Filling out “end of night” paperwork.

  • Ensuring facility is locked and secure.

Requirements:

  • Outgoing, friendly personality who is neat in appearance
  • Willingness to assist others and is a team player

  • Good organizational and time management skills

  • Able to do light lifting and cleaning

  • Valid Emergency First Aid and CPR an asset

  • Valid drivers license/access to vehicle an asset

  • Previous supervisory and customer service experience an asset
