Intervenor/Support Worker

Location: Browns Flat, NB

CDBRA is currently seeking an Intervenor/Support Worker to carry out a program consisting of social, recreational and community activities with a senior male with vision and hearing loss.

We are seeking someone who

  • Is willing to work 8 hours a week in the Browns Flat area.
  • Has strong communication skills

  • Will enjoy helping a senior gentleman access his community, provide social and recreational opportunities.
  • Has a driver’s license, access to vehicle and adequate insurance
  • Has CPR
  • Will need a criminal records check, prior contact check

The New Brunswick Chapter of the Canadian Deafblind Association has been offering services to deafblind New Brunswickers’ since 1982. The purpose of CDBA is to advocate for and to provide Intervention services to all persons with vision and hearing loss. Community based Intervenors can transform deafblind individuals’ lives, preventing depression and dependency, enabling them to go out, learn about the world, form relationships, gain skills they need to be employable and to access basic services.
