VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT


The Grand Bay-Westfield Volunteer Fire Department is recruiting and welcomes applications for membership from men and women interested in providing firefighting and other emergency services to the public. When the call comes in from 911, our volunteers respond. One of these volunteers can be you.

BENEFITS of being a member of the Grand Bay-Westfield Volunteer Fire/Rescue Department are:

•provincially and internationally recognized firefighting training;

•training in emergency medical services, i.e. First Responders;

•access to the Department’s physical fitness equipment;

•camaraderie and friendship;

•honorarium paid on the basis of attendance at emergency calls and

training sessions;

Women and men interested in joining the Department are asked to call the Town Office at 738-6421 to obtain an information package or visit the Town’s web site to print an application form and drop it off. It is not a requirement of the Department that applicants reside in the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield.
