FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES
The Town of Grand
Bay-Westfield’s
Tourism
Committee
has two great fundraising opportunities for your consideration this
summer. The Brundage Point River Centre is continuing with its
outdoor movie nights and is looking for an organization to provide
canteen services. The second fund-raising opportunity would be to
offer food choices on Saturday, August 21st
at the 2nd
Annual
Open Air Festival.
The organization
coordinating the
canteen for Movie
Night will provide items like pop, chips,
chocolate bars, and licorice and will retain all the proceeds from
items sold. Movie Night
will continue to be free for the public and the canteen usually runs
8:30pm to 10:30pm, with the group arriving around 8:00pm to set up.
Although the movie titles have not yet been determined, the following
dates have been confirmed; July 1, 2, 9, 16, 23,
30 and August 6, 13, 21, 27. The Tourism
Committee would prefer to find one organization to provide canteen
service for all ten movie nights, but other offers will be
considered.
The second fund-raising
opportunity is at the 2nd
Annual Open Air Festival. This is a fun filled day for the whole
family with, music, local bands, children’s activities, treasure
hunts and much, much more. The Open Air Festival is looking for
groups/people to offer food choices during the day at the event with
all the proceeds going to those providing the food.
