SWIMMING POOL REGULATIONS

Residents are reminded of the following regulations for swimming pools.

  • Swimming pools, whether in-ground, above ground, inflatable or otherwise supported which are designed to be capable of holding water to a depth of 0.6m (2 feet) or more are regulated by Town Zoning By-law No. 112.

  • Swimming pools are to be located on a lot no closer than 7.5m (25 feet) to the street line and 3m (10 feet) to a side or rear property line.

  • Swimming pools require a permanent enclosure at least 1.5m (5 feet) high complete with a self-latching/self-closing gate and require a Building Permit to be installed.
