| The Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Council met in a special session
on Thursday, July 10, 2003 at 5:05 p.m. with Mayor Losier presiding.

| All members were in attendance.
Deputy Mayor McGowan moved to add an item to the agenda Re: Environmental Screening Process – Redevelopment of Westfield Wharf Area. Seconded by Councillor Day. Carried unanimously.

| 3. | CORRESPONDENCE OF JULY 8, 2003 FROM LEONE PIPPARD, GENERAL MANAGER, | ||
| THE ST. JOHN RIVER SOCIETY RE: RIVER TRAILS NETWORK TRAILHEAD
Deputy Mayor McGowan moved to approve documents and authorize the appropriate signatures on the River Trails Network document as presented by Leone Pippard per her correspondence of July 8, 2003. Seconded by Councillor Day. Carried.

| 3.a | ENVIRONMENTAL SCREENING PROCESS – REDEVELOPMENT OF WESTFIELD WHARF AREA | ||
| Councillor Day moved a proposal be requested from Nateck Environmental
Services Inc. for completion of the Environmental Assessment Screening
for the development of the River Trails Network Project, subject to funding
option to be included in the application to ACOA.
Seconded by Councillor Murphy. Carried
