WORKS COMMISSIONER’S REPORT OF JULY 8, 1999 RE: PLOWING AND
OTHER WINTER MAINTENANCE SERVICES
Councillor Keir moved to reject the single tender received from Industrial Cold Milling for Plowing and Other Winter Maintenance Services, Tender No. 99-001W which closed on May 27, 1999 and to enter into a formal agreement with Industrial Cold Milling Ltd. for Plowing and Other Winter Maintenance Services as per negotiated proposal. Seconded by Councillor McGowan. Carried. Council Calvin cast a dissenting vote. It was noted future tenders must allow sufficient time for a re-tender
process and also that it is the responsibility of the Works Commissioner
to ensure in future that more than one bid is received for snow control
services.
