REPORTS FOR FEBRUARY AND MARCH 2009 - RCMP REPRESENTATIVE ATTENDING Corporal Rob Landry provided information to Council regarding the RCMP Statistical Reports for February and March 2009. Mayor Losier presented Corporal Landry with a “Book of Condolences” on the death of Cst. Porter and his two children. Councillor Day moved to receive and file RCMP Statistical Report for March 2009. Seconded by Councillor McGowan. Carried. |

RE: PARTNERS IN PREVENTION COMMITTEE Joanne Barry and Charlene McNulty presented Council with information regarding Partners in Prevention Committee. Councillor Murphy moved to provide a letter of support for the Partners in Prevention Committee’s application for the “in motion” program, to bring forward the Committee’s funding application for consideration in May 2009, and include a notice seeking new members for the Partners in Prevention Committee in a Town flyer. Seconded by Councillor Day. Carried. |

ORGANIZATION (EMO) MEETING OF FEBRUARY 17, 2009 Councillor Day moved to receive and file minutes of Emergency Measures Organization (EMO) Meeting of February 17, 2009. Seconded by Councillor Calvin. Carried. It was noted an Information Session is being held on Wednesday April 15, 2009 for residents subject to flooding and that empty sand bags will be available to these residents. It was noted empty sand bags are available for residents subject to flooding problems and sand is available at the DOT garage. |

12, 2009 RE: LONG TERM FINANCING - ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH Deputy Mayor Archer moved that the Treasurer and Mayor be authorized to issue and sell to the New Brunswick Municipal Finance Corporation a Municipality of Grand Bay-Westfield debenture in the principal amount of $150,000 for a term of fifteen years on such terms and conditions as are recommended by the New Brunswick Municipal Finance Corporation and be it resolved that the Municipality of Grand Bay-Westfield agree to issue post dated cheques payable to the New Brunswick Municipal Finance Corporation as and when they are requested in payment of principal and interest charges on the above debenture, one year in advance. Seconded by Councillor Calvin. Carried. |

2, 2009 RE: 2009 SEWERAGE CAPITAL FUND - BORROWING Councillor Day moved that the Municipality of Grand Bay-Westfield submit to the Municipal Capital Borrowing Board an application for authorization to borrow money in an amount not to exceed $205,000 for a term not to exceed fifteen (15) years for the following purposes: Environmental Health Services - Sewerage Services, and further moved authorization for the establishment of a Demand Loan for $205,000 in relation to the Town’s application to borrow. Seconded by Deputy Mayor Archer. Carried. |
