Deputy Mayor McGowan moved to receive and file the RCMP Statistical Report of for June 2002. Seconded by Councillor Silliphant. Carried.

| 6.2 | PRESENTATION BY THE LOWER ST. JOHN RIVER SOCIETY – LEONE PIPPARD ATTENDING | ||
| Leone Pippard provided a presentation regarding the Lower St. John
River Society, its funding, and its objectives noting the formation of
a Steering Committee for the River Trails Network project. She requested
the Town consider appointing two representatives to the new Steering Committee.
Deputy Mayor McGowan moved to accept the presentation by Leone Pippard and to forward an indication of support or not to Ms. Pippard as soon as Council has an opportunity to discuss the matter and identify the two representatives for the Steering Committee, should the Town decide to participate. Seconded by Councillor Day. Carried.

ATTENDING
Mr. Pye was not in attendance. Deputy Mayor McGowan moved that 15 days from today (July 22, 2002) that the Town proceed to obtain a Court Order in regard to the Zoning Violation at 23 Majestic Drive and to instruct the Town Solicitor to make application to the Court of Queen’s Bench for an order to gain compliance with the Town’s Zoning By-law or require the removal of the accessory building in the front yard of property located at 23 Majestic Drive, PID #30070452. Seconded by Councillor Silliphant. Carried.

| Councillor Silliphant moved to adopt the minutes of the regular
Council meeting of June 24, 2002 as presented.
Seconded by Councillor Day. Carried. It was noted the Town would follow up with Milt Sherwood, MLA regarding
soil tests for the former Standard Investment property and the Service
New Brunswick Budget.

Councillor Day moved to receive and file letter of July 15, 2002 from Ron Maloney, Mayor of Quispamsis Re: Domestic Pesticide Products for Cosmetic Use on Turf and to forward a letter to Mayor Maloney advising him of our Town Status and advising our Municipality supports their efforts on behalf of the environment noting Grand Bay-Westfield has done a great deal of work on Integrated Pest Management. OF JULY 17, 2002
Councillor Day moved to accept the amount of $59.88 (Cash, Money Order or Certified Cheque) for Money in Lieu of Land for Public Purposes for the creation of one lot out of lands identified by PID #00227702 and PID #30188734 as identified on the Tentative Subdivision Plan, Westfield Country Estates Subdivision, Lots 2002-1 and 2002-2, Country Club Drive, Town of Grand Bay-Westfield, Parish of Westfield, Kings County, New Brunswick dated July 2, 2002, as prepared by DeSaulniers Surveys Inc. Final Approval shall be granted by the Development Officer subject to: a) the receipt of the $59.88 (Cash, Money Order or Certified Cheque) for Money in Lieu of Land for Public Purposes; b) the Final Subdivision Plan to be referred to as the “Mackinnon Subdivision”; c) the Final Subdivision Plan to record NB Tel and NB Power Easements as required; d) completion of land acquisition from the Town as per approved conditional offer in response to Proposal Call 2002-01 with all applicable documents registered to the satisfaction of the Town Solicitor; e) the Final Subdivision Plan to note the following 5 m wide development restrictions to act as a buffer to be maintained on: i) the eastern property line between the present lot PID #
30188734 and lot identified by PID # 30188726;

RE: PROPOSED AMENDING SUBDIVISION PLAN, PID #00093245, PID #30056345,
PID #00085480, & PID #00063347, MR. GARY TIBBETTS, 9 HIGHLAND ROAD
Deputy Mayor McGowan moved that Council accept the request by Mr. Gary Tibbetts to remove an existing Sewer Easement on property with PID #00063347 and accept the creation of a new Amending Subdivision Plan, Lot 2002-1 to be prepared by Mr. & Mrs. Tibbetts in accordance with Provincial Acts and Town By-laws to include a triangular parcel consisting of 74.5 m2 to be consolidated with PID #00085480 and their existing lot (PID #00063347) in exchange for ownership of property with PID #30056345 being transferred to the Town subject to: i) the Final Amending Subdivision Plan and deed documentation to
be prepared by the Tibbetts’ and reviewed to the satisfaction of the Town
Solicitor;
iii) Final Amending Subdivision Plan to record applicable NB Power
and NB Tel Easements as required;
