Seconded by Councillor Day. Carried. It was noted Councillor Day is a member of the Saint John Growth Strategy

Councillor McGowan moved to refer letter of October 1, 2006 from Jim Balcomb, Secretary, River Valley Chamber of Commerce (RVCC) Re: Grand Bay-Westfield Visitor Information Centre 2007 Summer Season to the 2007 Budget process and also refer the item to the Recreation Director for a report back to Council at the appropriate time. Seconded by Councillor Day. Carried.

| RE: DERELICT VEHICLE REMOVAL PROGRAM
Deputy Mayor Murphy moved to forward a letter of recognition to the Kidney Foundation of Canada for our successful partnership in environmental stewardship by providing $50.00 cash incentives to residents from our community who donate derelict vehicles under the Foundations’ Kidney Car Donation Program and further to direct staff to bring forward a proposal to continue funding this Derelict Incentive Program in the Town’s 2007 Operational Budget. Seconded by Councillor McGowan. Carried.

Councillor Evans moved to recognize the following two Planning Advisory Committee Members who have terms due to expire on January 1, 2007 (Ralph Stevens, and Jim Evans), with thanks for their valued contribution to the community by serving on this Committee and to advertise for the positions and encourage Mr. Stevens and Mr. Evans to re-apply. Seconded by Deputy Mayor Murphy. Carried.
