Councillor McGowan moved to receive and file the RCMP Statistical Report for April 2009. Seconded by Councillor Day. Carried. It was noted that the Bike Rodeo sponsored by the Neighbourhood Watch would be held on June 13, 2009. |

MAY 20, 2009 RE: RIVER VALLEY BASEBALL PROJECT Councillor Murphy moved to authorize an application for funding to the Recreation Infrastructure Canada (RINC) Program administered by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) for repaving the Town Tennis Court and the installation of a Batting Cage on Town ball fields and further to forward a letter to the River Valley Baseball Association informing them of this application. Seconded by Deputy Mayor Archer. Carried. |

BOARD Councillor Murphy moved that the Municipality of Grand Bay-Westfield submit to the Municipal Capital Borrowing Board an application for authorization to borrow money in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000 for the following: Purpose Term Amount Transportation Services - 15 years 2,000,000 Road Construction - Commercial Core Road Seconded Councillor McGowan. Carried. Mayor Losier noted the Collector Road Announcement of May 23, 2009 and also noted the upcoming May 30, 2009 Rally for Saving CBC. |
