MLA Milt Sherwood presented Deputy Mayor Murphy with a letter from the Regional Development Corporation outlining approval of up to $30,000 funding to the Town from the Corporation for the proposed Pedestrian Bridge at Milligan Brook. Deputy Mayor Murphy thanked MLA Sherwood for the grant funding provided
to the Town.

Councillor McGowan moved the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield acknowledge and accept a portion of Shannon Road, situated in the said Town and owned by the Town pursuant to deed registered in Kings County Registry by the number 18547852, as a public street, said portion described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the westerly boundary of a lot shown as “Elsie Hall Property” on plan filed as number 9006 in Kings County * Deputy Mayor Murphy voted in the affirmative. Registry on August 13, 1986, and Bayview Drive, shown on said plan 9006, said point of intersection also being station 35 shown on said plan; thence in easterly, southerly and northerly directions, maintaining a constant width of 20.12 metres, following the various courses of Shannon Road to a prolongation of the easterly sideline of lot 13 shown on a plan filed as number 3291 in Kings County Registry aforesaid on June 18, 1969. The said lands above described being that portion of Shannon Road maintained and serviced by the Village of Grand Bay and by its successor Municipality, the said Town of Grand Bay-Westfield, since 1972.
