Councillor Day moved to authorize Godfrey Associates Ltd. to proceed to tender for storm sewer work on Designated Highway Route 177 to install a section of storm sewer in front of the River Valley Middle School soccer field and to install storm sewer from Stevens Court north to Garden Road as outlined in the Works Commissioner’s Report of June 20, 2007 not to exceed $250,000 including engineering fees. Seconded by Councillor McGowan. Carried.

Deputy Mayor Murphy moved to forward a letter to Andrew and Kelly Murray requesting they submit to the Town written confirmation of the following: (a) the damages that they allege that they have suffered as a result of the Town’s action; (b) the action that they are requesting the Town take regarding the damage. and to advise the Murray’s that any assistance towards the development of the land is doubtful, however subject to the findings with respect to item a) & b) above would not be considered until such time as a formal subdivision application is received for the development of the land. Deputy Mayor Murphy moved to approve the draft agreement dated May 30, 2007 between the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield and the River Valley Community Center Foundation Inc. as attached to reflect changes recommended by solicitor Hopkins per his email of June 14, 2007 with authorization for signatures and the agreement to return to the River Valley Community Center Foundation Inc. for execution. Seconded by Councillor Day. Carried.
